Founder and Director of the Center for Creative Media, Doug Rittenhouse, who has more than thirty years of experience in the Entertainment Industry and has won several Emmys, will lead the way while the entire H.O.M.E. staff who make outstanding Film, Television, and New Media will guide your every step.
You will be trained by industry professionals who produce live events, and who have worked at NBC, CBS, Fox, and VH1, and the team who created the music videos for Newsboy’s “God’s Not Dead” and Casting Crown’s “Just Another Birthday.”
Those who are interested in acting will have a separate breakout session, “Acting for the Camera,” and may appear in the short film.
“As soon as he [our son] was able to speak to someone from HOME, he knew these were his people, who had the same interest and goals. Once he got there he was immediately immersed in the actual workings of creating and being a part of all types of cinematic events. [At HOME] he thrived because he was challenged in a way I don’t think he could have been anywhere else.”
“[My daughter] was encouraged to blossom, to grow, to thrive, in her own personality, and they poured into her with all these things she didn’t possess before in an environment where she was encouraged to focus on relationships, with God, people and family. She wasn’t just sitting down, reading books and taking notes.”
“Our daughter has matured from a young lady that had head knowledge of what it meant to be a Christian, to seeing how to apply that knowledge and make it real and applicable for her. HOME showed Serina that she could be who she is and still follow what God has called her to be in an industry that is not regarded as a place Christians can strive. We are grateful for what she has learned.”
“[HOME] has gone beyond my wildest expectations. These are people that understood him [my son] – they spoke his language. And not only that but encouraged him to do his best, and beyond.”
“Designing art in high school didn’t have an impact on anyone in a way that [my son] could see. But coming to HOME allowed him to use the God-given talents that he has in a manner where he could actually see that he was impacting lives.”
People have been complaining about Hollywood for years. Let’s stop complaining and do something about it.
I participated in the Hands On Media Experience and was impressed with the program and the staff. I knew it was going to be good, but I had no idea how fast I would be working along side professionals and playing a major role in creating content.
As a former film school student, I can say with complete and absolute certainty that HOME has given me much more invaluable experience. There’s no problem with going to classes, and head knowledge is good, but a true to life work environment with a firm Christian foundation? You’ll only find that at HOME.
